Hardball Podcast: Greg Maddux

Greg Maddux.

If you can name a better pitcher — especially over the two decades that he pitched (1986-2008) — please, post your comment below. Truth be told: I don’t expect to see any comments, because there is no one better.

Over his 23-year career, Maddux won 355 games. When was the last time that was done? He threw 109 complete games, struck out 3,371 batters, eight time All-Star, 18 Gold Glove awards, pitched 200+ innings 18 of 19 seasons (1988-2006), four Cy Young Awards in four consecutive seasons (1992-1995) and won a World Series (1995, Braves) and was inducted into both the Atlanta Braves and Cooperstown Halls of Fame.

Chris Dimino, co-host of Atlanta’s sports talk radio show on 680 WCNN The Fan, released an interview with Maddux. The duo talk about Maddux’s career.
